Golf Mental Game- Its Relationship And Effect To Shot Commitment
They say along with commitment is fulfillment.. When you commit to something, you have to fulfill it no matter what happens.. In golf, the same thing applies. You need to be committed to every shot you make to have a more improved golf performance.. With commitment comes trust as well. When you commit to do something, you must have trust that whatever is it that you have committed yourself to; it will turn out to be successful. Thus, in golf, when you have already committed to take a shot, you have to put all your trust that it will end up successful whatever it may take..
When you attempt a golf swing, only one thing would certainly matter to you and that is a successful golf shot. Therefore you will do everything just to make such a golf shot work. The greatest secret of great golf shot is commitment.. Before you do a swing, analyze first how you can eventually reach your goal.. Do not force yourself to exert too much effort if as of the moment, it is not that needed.. Instead, whatever is the result of your analysis, then that is what you should be doing. Say for instance, a particular amount of focus is what you will put in to achieve a golf shot. Yet, eventually you have realized that you need a different focus.. Constant change of mind would actually distract you from achieving your goal. Therefore, when doing thorough analysis and estimation, you must make a decision; then stick to it. Make the most of what you have opted to do.. This is the essence of shot commitment. You commit yourself to do a shot and adhere to it even if other things enter your mind.
If you were able to practice shot commitment each time you play golf, you will certainly improve your golf mental game. One of the reasons behind is that you learn how to concentrate and be focused in attaining your target. Aside from that, you also learn how to be more confident each time you play. The result of your golf swing attempt might be successful or not, as long as you have placed your full trust into it, then it is still fine with you. What is vital is that you have your decision and you stood by end no matter what happens..
To sum all these, the bottom-line is that a shot commitment makes you not only better in each game, but a better golfer in general. You learn how to commit to each shot you do and learn from it even if it succeeds or not.
